Downtown Veterinary Clinic

I’ve been a client at Downtown Veterinary Clinic since April 2023, when I moved to Milwaukee from New York City with my Cavalier King Charles lady. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to her that October. During that heartbreaking time, we received the most compassionate end-of-life care; sensitive, gentle, and deeply respectful of both her and us. The team helped her cross the rainbow bridge peacefully in our arms, and I’ll always be grateful for that kindness. More recently, our new family member, a Papillon-Chihuahua mix, became ill and I had to rush her in. The staff saw her promptly, clearly explained all treatment options, and offered two financial pathways so we could make an informed decision. I truly appreciated how transparent and considerate both the doctor and technician were through

Dr.Willkom was very thorough in her in review of all prior medical history and initial wellness examination of our pup during our initial visit as new residents of MKE and new client of Downtown Veterinary Clinic. I originally started going here because I followed Dr. V from her previous location. She is the best ever and saved my cat's life. I love the way she thinks. She's not the typical doctor that just goes with the average course of treatment. She talks it through and comes up with a plan unique to your pet. And she's a great listener and doesn't just try to rush you off the phone or out of the office. I truly love her. Once I started visiting this office regularly, I've seen that the rest of the staff is the same. I'm still getting to know the staff but so far everyone is really kind and truly cares about their patients and will take their time to listen and make sure all of your questions and concerns are addressed.

I love Downtown Vret! The vet and the tech were both so gentle with our 10 month old kitten. The person at the front office actually retrieved our kitten hiding under a heavy piece if furniture. I would recommend this veterinary to anyone!

Helpful and kind staff, was able to get my cat in quick for an urgent eye issue even though we weren’t established patients. They let you know the pricing before treatment is administered, it seemed on par with other city vets. They also offered to get my cat up to date with routine bloodwork and vaccinations which I appreciated since previous vets hadn’t mentioned he was overdue. Looking forward to continuing our cats’ care here!
