Dogs & Cats Forever

They are the rudest people you will ever meet. Tried to get a puppy for 3weeks. Never!! contacted my reference. Called me once. Asked about my vet. 2nd week of looking at puppy. Brought her a kong. They told me she would be getting her shots. They would give me a call. Not only did they deny me because I told them she would be crate trained while I was at work. But they never called me.to to let me know. I called them the 3rd week on a thrusday. They didn't answer they first time. Called again they left me on hold for 27minutes. Hung up and called back again and was finally informed that I was denied. Found out they adopted her to someone with kids. So if you really need a dog. Which I have very bad anxiety. Please, if anyone wants any kittens, cats puppies dogs, please go to dogs and cats forever. It is a no-kill shelter and it is fabulous and they have some wonderful pets there to be adopted.

I adopted a cat from them back in March 2025 but they won't let me adopt a dog from them because my previous dog Never Had heartworm preventative. Because the state I lived in didn't require it it wasn't mandatory.

The staff here is so dedicated to helping the animals. If you can, please donate to their very worthy cause. I went in to adopt a particular cat but, another cat selected me. She is now my beloved companion and I am very grateful to the staff for patiently showing me ALL of the cats.

Seven weeks ago we adopted Tucker(aka Lucky). It hasn't been an easy road however I now understand what they mean with 3 days/3weeks/3 months because it has definitely been an adjustment for Tucker and us. We are very grateful to all the volunteers at the shelter for all the love and care they provide to all the animals. We love Tucker and wanted to share some pictures along with his first haircut done today.
