Customer Reviews
I got a red tail and a shovel nose. I’m the guy that tests the water before I even put the new fish in my quarantine tank, their waters were pretty good. Best water I’ve seen in a pet store.
Desert Pet is clean and the products they offer are great. Their employees are nice and their animals are healthy for the most part. The only thing I would ask them to do is to NOT keep betta sororities anymore. The one they had was clearly unsuccessful and I found a dead betta every day. I also ask that they get rid of their outdated betta products.
One of the only good local pet stores in town, we recently got some pet rats from them to add to our colony. Unfortunately the rats were carrying a virus that spread to our colony and we have been treating it since we got them, one of the rats we got died pretty quickly afterwards of a URI, and the other we're doing our best to help her recover but she's struggling as well. I would love if they could treat some of their rats with antibiotics but I understand that they may be used as feeders. Aside from the issues with the rats I still love the store and will be returning regardless
Was sceptical at first because of the outside homeless people but they seem to mostly stay away. The store is well stocked and prices are fair. There is a good selection of everything. Fish tanks were clean and I didn't see any dead fish. They also have a good selection of reptiles. Kinda lacking on a bird selection. There is basically a nice selection of mostly everything you would need for pets. Not really a specific store but selections for most pets. There is a nice pond with a good selection of carp. I took off a star because no one asked if I needed help and I had to go find somebody. The employees mostly stay huddled around the cash register hobnobbing to each other.
I am a frequent flyer in this store! One of the best local reptile/ critter supply, I typically always go here for food and treats, we’ve bought 3 giant centipedes from them and plan to buy more critters from them in the future. The staff is extremely helpful, always happy to help and very nice. Glad to see everyone get along with eachother .
