I've been scared to review because of the way Donni attacks and threatens people who leave negative reviews but it's worth warning others now that I'm no longer in the area. I hired DDW a couple years ago to help with my reactive dog who was not adjusting well after our move. I had a great phone conversation and was very excited. We did our initial evaluation during which Donni acted scared of my dog, put him in my spare room, and slammed the door on him whenever he barked at her (the exact reason I was seeking help). She left halfway through the session promising to come back later that week. I paid the full price for the consultation but only got half the promised time. Had a regular call with Donni, at first, I set up a call via her website, Colorado Dog Whisperer. But ended up choosing a different dog training company. So I ended up not replying to her text attempts to come to my home for a home behavioral session. I simply wasn’t interested anymore and found a different school. Then it got weird. A few weeks later she threatened me via text saying I was a fraud and that she was going to report me to the police and have my dog taken away. Erratic would be the best description of her behavior, she jumped from 0-60 just because I didn’t text her back and chose someone else. I could never trust someone like that in my home or with my puppy. Needless to say I’m quite glad I chose a different company.

I had such a great experience with Denver Dog Whisperer! I have a 3.5 year old Aussie Mix who was progressively exhibiting aggressive behavior. Donni was patient and took the time to really explain what my dog was communicating through her body language/behavior and taught me the effective techniques to communicate back in a calm assertive manner. She is a straight shooter and direct in her delivery. She taught me how to be the pack leader to my pup and now she is calm and submissive. It's a continuous process but I now feel equipped with the tools to manage my dog's energy so she can be relaxed and happy. Thank you so much!

Has rage and control issues. We actually saw Donnie for an almost 3 hour session. Everything went pretty well and we made plans to meet and teach our dog how to swim. Within the course of 15 minutes through text messaging, the relationship went down the drain. I ended up having to block her and her supposed assistant "Lars" from my phone. Unfortunately apparently when you block someone, the messages go away. Don't fear though because I was able to pull up the messages that they sent me after I blocked them. She may indeed have good skills with dogs, but she and her possible assistant have really scary issues with control and rage. Donnie- since you respond to all of these, I was a client so don't try to deny it and do not threaten me- you need help and probably therapy.

A friend of mine used this service to have her dog trained. After the training session the “Denver Dog Whisperer” Insisted through text that the dog come live with her for 5 to 10 days because the dog was “broken” and the dog “needed to be away from the owners”. When my friend denied letting her dog go stay with this crazy lady called the “dog whisperer” the “dog whisperer” threatened to call animal control on my friend followed by a series of harassment text messages. If you care about your pet in any way DO NOT let this lady anywhere near your pets! I’m not sure what she is doing with the pets that are “broken” that she taking to her house for 5-10 days but it definitely seems sketchy.
