Dogwood Canine Academy

Our pup Naiyo went to Dogwood Canine Academy for the 28 day board and train program. The main focus was leash behavior, fear of loud noises, and socialization/reactivity (especially with household guests). Wil did an AMAZING job creating a great foundation for Naiyo and gave us tools to continue to build on. Wil gave us daily updates about Naiyo. Wil helped him develop good leash behavior, start to work around loud noises, and a great start to being more comfortable around strangers/other dogs. Wil has continued to check in to make sure Naiyo is settling in and continuing to grow. We are forever grateful for all the hard work Wil did to help our pup become a happier and more confident doggo! 10 out of 10 🦴 would recommend! Thanks Wil!

Will has done an amazing job with our dog Pepper. Pepper is a sweet girl but she used to chase rabbits, squirrels, cars, dogs, and other things. She pulled us on the leash until our arms hurt. We had no control over her. We signed up for Pepper to spend 4 weeks with Will - living with him while he trained her. Having her back feels like we have a new dog. She listens to our commands, and we are armed with tools to use in difficult situations when she may try to not listen. At the end of the 4 weeks, Pepper wasn't trained quite as well as Will wanted her to be - so he asked if we would mind leaving her there a few extra days for additional training at no extra cost. My dog Sizzles is a 2-year-old stray rescue who used to be super reactive around other dogs — walks were stressful, and I honestly didn’t know how to help him. So incredibly thankful for Wil and his expertise — my high energy dog spent 28 days with Wil to work on his recall, leash skills, reactivity and general obedience and came home transformed, confident and with some seriously impressive skills. He walks right next to me and gets many compliments when we are out in public or visits the nursing home. Hello! My black lab mix Joey went off for behavioral training with Will! I loved getting updates and videos of Joey during his time training! Will did a great job with explaining the training and the progress that was happening. Joey struggled with so much prior to training, and while our journey is still on going, Will did a wonderful job. Upon joeys graduation from training, I instantly noticed a difference with his common obedience. He has really grown in his commands and behavior out walking. While Joey still has work to do, Will is still there to help out and answers in questions. Will is so accommodating, and willing to meet up to check in even after Joey has gone through training.
