Denver Animal Shelter

I’ve adopted 4 animals from the Denver animal shelter, 2 ferrets, a cat and a dog, and each time the process was super informative but still quick. You can tell the volunteers here know what they’re talking about, and they make sure to let you know if any potential issues you’ll be dealing with in the future after adopting the animal. Everyone here is super kind and welcoming and this is the place I recommend everyone goes when searching for a new furry friend. I somehow managed to find the four sweetest animals I’ve ever had at this shelter. Adopt, don’t shop! It’s worth it

Our experience has been great. The price we paid included neuter and microchip. Only downside is that they only allow you to visit 2 animals a day. This boy came home to us and we have been very pleased with the experience.

Corporal Swanson has failed to professionally and adequately communicate with my husband and I regarding a small black Pomeranian who had broken legs. Due to my intervention, Xochitl received the necessary care after I discovered the dog and promptly took her to an animal hospital. Corporal neglected to provide us with any explanation of the process and disregarded our text messages, emails, and phone calls. My husband and I offered to pay for her surgery and any of her medical care that she needed, as I told Corporal that I had $6,000 set aside, specifically for that, and that my husband would match that. my husband and I were willing to invest $12,000 so that Xochitl could get the care that she needed since our son could not afford it. We had a great experience adopting our new dog. They had a great Christmas week special that made it possible for our family. We were impressed by the facility, the friendly, helpful volunteer staff and of course finding the gentle sweetheart we had been looking for.

The Denver Animal Shelter is an exceptional facility! They are a dedicated team who take the extra time to make sure that the special animals are taken care of with the best veterinary services and matching animals to the right families.
