Unfortunately this place sucks.. My silver lab Lucy was accidentally full swing hit by a baseball bat in the face while teenagers were playing baseball on a farm. She’s two years old. Her k9 tooth was shattered to the pulp and part of her lip was hanging off. We called ahead, gave all of our information over the phone, filled out the intake form they immediately send you, but when you get there…, we sat for 2.5 hours in the lobby waiting., my dog (who just got hit in the mouth with a baseball bat..) layed on the lobby floor bleeding and in pain. After about an hour a (tech) came out to the lobby, wiped up my dogs blood with her foot and a towel (in the waiting room) looked at my dogs lip and said she’s definitely going to need some stitches at the very least. I brought my dog Rosy here for breathing issues. The staff were very kind and compassionate and always kept me up to date with what was going on with my dog. She was kept for two nights and I received many updates and pictures of Rosy and they answered every single question I had. The doctor who was there the first night she was there was so sweet and explained all of my dog's problems. Unfortunately, Rosy had to be put to sleep and Dr. Hunt was very kind and compassionate about the situation. He explained everything that would happen and was very caring with us and my Rosy. I would recommend them time and time again for the care that they gave for my girl in her final days. I can't thank the staff enough. Kudos to Dr. Creasey and the entire staff. We brought out beloved pup in to be evaluated for euthanasia. Everyone was so kind and respectful. Dr. Creasey took the time to explain everything with us and to talk about our pet’s condition. The vet techs were kind and made our baby feel comfortable. Even the receptionist offered her condolences as we were leaving. This was a terrible day for us but the staff at Delmarva Emergency Center went out of their way to provide a peaceful and calm experience. We are extremely grateful.

If I could give this place a 0 then I would. On Saturday, September 6th, 2025 our 6 year old baby Bella was having a normal day until the unimaginable happened. She went outside for a walk in the yard with her dad and 7 year old beagle sister Daisy. Everything was normal and she was anxiously waiting for me to get her dinner ready. They came in and Bella laid on the rug by the front door while I was putting their fresh pet food on a plate. When I put it down on the floor Bella turned to eat it and fell on her butt. She was unable to stand back up on her back legs. She proceeded to try and crawl into the living room but couldn't. Her butt, back legs and tail weren't moving. We were frantic and extremely upset, she couldn't walk. We immediately looked for an emergency vet and went to Delma

I came in with my 9 year German shepherd at around 10:00PM and they took great care of him. Any questions I had were answered with professionalism and compassion. I don’t want to put their names online but everyone working when I came in was great. My family truly appreciates Delmarva Animal Emergency Center and their compassion for our senior pup!
