Brandywine Valley SPCA Dover

I filled out the form online for a kitten spay. Didn’t hear anything for a couple weeks. I called and the gentleman said they were about a month out with scheduling. He then offered just to take all my info over the phone, which was great! He also saw there was an opening within 2 days. He was great and very accommodating. Drop off was great. Very professional. Pick up was great. Very caring. Very thorough with explaining after care. Great job everyone! Terrific experience overall.

I am sitting here 10 minutes shy of a two hour wait for a booster for my kitty. Apt was at 4:15. Got here at 4:05 and was told they are an hour behind. Still here almost two hours behind. So my question is why didn't the staff call to alert and ask for a reschedule when things are running so behind? Just don't get it...very frustrating. And if the staff are not voluntaries why are there so many sitting on a time clock going in for the overtime money?! From my point of view not a whole lot of work going on and if they are voluntaries then rock on and thank you. I will not continue to pay for a service that wastes my time and does not seem to care about my time when I can get the same service close to home and close to the same price.

I always get GREAT service from the SPCA on both sides medical and the adoption side….Any time I need to make appointments they get me in immediately….i take all my animals here!!!definitely recommend

Yes the work decently but man if they work slow... My appointment was 2:15, showed up at 2:00. I didn't get seen till 2:35, the doctor take a look at the dog leaves again, 5 minutes to gather 1 towel and 2 gauzes. To administer 3 shots and clean a wound than wasn't even bleeding took 1 hour and 15 minutes...

Dirty, smells like urine, waited over an hour to be seen with our dog and left. Staff isn't the nicest. Taking her to a different vet. NCC location is so much better. EDIT: both appointments we had last week for two different pets were a disaster and neither one were seen. Front desk was awful and there was no communication on wait times during both visits. I've called four times now to get their deposits credited to our account with no answer. This situation was so disappointing, we love SPCA as a company. I hope this gets resolved after i email the address below. EDIT PART 2: we have been reimbursed for our deposits, and the regional manager reached out, which was really nice. Situation has been handled and we'll continue to use Brandywine SPCA for our pets care.
