I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Suzanne and the level of care she provides. She truly goes above and beyond for the horses and treats them as if they were her own. She has helped us with a wide variety of equine care including breeding, foal care, hernia surgery, castrations, pre-purchase exams, uveitis treatment, post-foaling mare care, ultrasounds, and all routine veterinary needs. She is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and detail-oriented, and just as importantly, she is very easy to get a hold of and communicate with. She takes the time to explain everything clearly and is always willing to go the extra step to ensure the best possible outcome. Consider Dells Equine for your veterinary service. Located near the Wisconsin Dells, it is pretty centrally located for most horse owners. I took my horse, Ellie, there (about an hour drive) when she needed an eye removal which Dr. McKichan skillfully performed. It involved overnight care and the Dells Equine office is set up well for surgery and post-surgical care. Dr. McKichan kept in touch with me before, during, and after the operation to keep me up to date on how things were going. She also performed additional tests, worming, and the vaccinations that Ellie needed. Since Dr. McKichan herself is a horse owner, the care given by Dells Equine reflects her personal knowledge of horse care & behavior. Ellie had excellent care at Dells Equine!

Dells Equine Veterinary Service has been there on time, for every appointment, with fantastic service. Excellent explanation to all my questions. Dr. Suzanne has been our vet for the past 9 years. Several emergency calls through the years with fast response time. 5 stars +.

I called Dr. McKichan for my mule who has lost weight over the last few of years, most notably during the recent winter. She examined Alpo, a 36 year old mule, and floated his teeth which were in terrible condition. I was impressed by the attention to detail and caring manner provided for Alpo. Highly recommended. Will call again in the fall for a follow-up exam and additional work on the old guy's teeth.

Dr Suzanne of Dells Equine, has been our vet since 2020. I started using her after the vet we had used was unable to help us with an issue my horse had. Dr Suzanne was willing to see us right away and took care of the issue, which she has continued to do these last 5 years. I like the fact that she will make farm calls. She is very thorough and explains in a way I can understand, and gives options as much as possible. She knows her stuff!
