I had a great experience adopting our new baby here. The staff were really helpful and kind throughout the whole process and readily answered any questions me and my partner had despite how busy they were. I could tell they cared a lot about the animals. The adoption was free and we also got a $250 voucher to care for our baby within the next couple weeks. We adopted our little Guppy (shelter name Bianca) and she is perfect for our family. She is very playful but gentle, and she's been very eager to learn. She just wants to be loved and make everyone happy. Thank you to all the staff here at Dekalb animal services! Your time and dedication to these animals is much appreciated.

We signed up for Dog for a day activity, which is basically taking a dog from shelter and take the dog outdoor. We have Pettie today, a one and half year old girl. She was calm when she first met us. At the park, she was friendly and happy to be petted by people who were sitting down. In the car and at home, she was very well-behaved and mostly just lay down calmly!! ❤️ if anyone is interested in Pettie, go to Dekalb meet her or just take her a walk for few hours, she is lovely ❤️

DeKalb County Animal Services – Atlanta They are simply the best! I went to adopt my beautiful kitty NUBI, and the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. All the cats and dogs they have are adorable, sweet, and full of love, just waiting for a kind family to give them a home. It truly touches your heart to see so many dogs hoping to be adopted, but it also feels good to see how well they are cared for. Their adoption fees are very low and completely fair, much more affordable than other places. When you adopt, they give you everything: your pet comes fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and they also send you home with a complete starter kit — dry food, wet food, litter, toys, and a collar with all the vaccine information. The staff are true heroes to the community. I will forever be grateful to their hard work, kindness, and dedication to these animals to end euthanasia. Luxe was so helpful to help me find the best dog in need at the shelter. This is my third pup from lifeline-the BEST rescue in Atlanta!

Shaggy (Ruffles) is doing great! He’s getting lots of love and exercise in his new family and is adjusting well. Shaggy loves his big backyard and he loves to go and runs with his new dad down to the lake.
