I’ve been coming to Dee’s Pets in Marion for years, and I can confidently say it’s hands down my favorite pet store in the area. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about both the animals and their customers. They take the time to answer questions and make great recommendations and I never feel rushed. The store has an awesome variety of supplies and animals, whether you’re shopping for food or supplies. It’s clear they put thought into what they carry. If you’re anywhere near Marion, I can easily recommend Dee’s Pets.

I like this pet shop because of the prices and selection of their inventory. I have rats and this is the number one place I go to for toys and other supplies because it is super affordable. When it comes to the animals, there is a huge decline in value though. Im not saying they treat them bad because you can tell they love the animals and are very knowledgeable about them, but I have had several die soon after taking them home. Sometimes you have to go with what's available though and ive learned to take them to the vet ASAP after purchase. Im not saying all this to tear down this shop, but more as a warning to be extra cautious with the animals. Still wonderful place to visit!

I am SO unbelievably grateful for Dee’s Pets. Not long after bringing home a few new fish to add to our pre-existing tank from Petco, our entire tank started to drop like flies with white spots. We tried some subpar treatments from Petco but Petco doesn’t sell any decent medications (such as those made by Seachem etc). Out of desperation we drove to Marion to see if Dee’s carried any of the recommended medications and THEY DID! Thanks to them and their awesome selection of meds, we were able to pick up some Ich-X and Maracyn 2. Unfortunately, it was too late for most of the tank, but thanks to Dee’s we were able to save our favorite fish of them all who we have had for almost two years now, Cajun (sorry for the cruel name). I really like Dee's, but I think there's room for improvement in how they maintain their animals. They have a wide variety of animals, and great prices for supplies compared to big box stores. The addition of the mini tanks for Betta fish is a huge improvement. They also gave the store tortoise a big upgrade for his enclosure. I got my hamster from here in March 2024 and he's doing very well. However, I'm not always satisfied with the animal's enclosures. I visited today 8/6 and there were 5 bunnies in a 2' x 3' cage; I noticed the water bottle fell off the side, so I reattached it. They immediately competed to drink from the bottle, I wonder how long it had been on the floor. I was honestly worried they might smother each other squished in the corner trying to drink it.
