Darling's Little Dog Retreat

We've been boarding our two dachshunds with Lori for several years now, and can't recommend it enough for all the (small and medium-sized) dog owners out there. As others have said, Darling's Little Dog Retreat does a fantastic job making the dogs feel relaxed and at home, having plenty of play time with others in a safe environment and making sure you get plenty of photos and videos along the way. We drive from Dallas, and it is more than worth it to us to drive the further distance to make sure our dogs are well cared for when we are away.

We had our baby pomeranian Foxie stay here while we went on a Disney Cruise and we recommend anyone to have their baby stay here with no worries. We did an initial meet and greet and at that meeting I knew this was the best home away from home for her. The babies get to roam around free and enjoy the home, with kennel time being at night when it's time for bed. I had a bad experience with a kennel for a wknd stay and Foxie had "kennel nose" and smelled horrible when I picked her up. With this stay, I was able to check on her via Facebook and seen she was getting spoiled and loved on and she wasn't stressed. I would absolutely recommend this retreat for your small pup anytime you need a home away from for your baby. Five Stars!!

I couldn’t recommend Darling’s Little Dog Retreat more! I drive from Dallas to leave my short hair dachshund with Lori and the experience couldn’t be better. She is extremely kind and passionate about her job. I struggled to find a boarding place that I could trust to leave my dog with for 7 days, especially with her IVDD needs. She gets minimal crate time and lots of attention at Darling’s Little Dog Retreat. We also receive lots of updates and pictures throughout her stay which we love. I have absolutely no worry when my dog is in Lori’s hands!! Thank you Lori!!

We have boarded with Darling’s Little Dog Retreat multiple times now. Up to 10 days. Every experience so far has been amazing. We love the photos and videos they post daily. We also love that Newton, our dog, gets to relax in a home rather than a typical chain doggy daycare place. Newton is always happy to go and always comes home happy and tired! They are truly the best! ❤️
