I had my dog spayed there yesterday. They were very helpful and answered any questions I had. The prices were amazing and the person doing the surgery did a great job, because my dog is not even acting like she's in pain today. She moped a bit yesterday from the anesthesia and I'm sure she was afraid, but her incision is very small and not causing any problems. There was absolutely nothing to complain about with the procedure here! Their instructions are very rigid and worded in a way that makes them seem like super strict hardasses, but that's not what the people were like at all. Thanks for providing a reasonably priced option to have my dog spayed, Dakin! My vet wanted over 3x what it cost me there. Princess is doing very well.

Went there today and ended up adopting a orange tabby named Lenny with my 5 year old son. They were extremely professional and cats seemed well taken care of. Highly recommend. We are changing his name to taco 🌮

Easy adoption of 1 year old kitty. About a 25 minute wait. Staff and volunteers were knowledgeable and helpful. Photo was kitty's 1st day home, she was sleepy. Cat had been neutered and had shots. Reasonable adoption fee. Very surprised at the size of the facility. Greeting area, adoption area, viewing area, store for pet food and supplies and a hospital I believe. Been 1 week and our 2 cats have been separated. Each has own box, food, water and toys. Slowly introducing each other thru scents, treats and short visits via gate. A slow but necessary process. Other photo is of her 5 year old established "queen" housemate acquired 6 months ago. Would recommend.

Dakin Humane Society was great for adopting a rescue cat. Louie was a shy kitty, and gave no indication that he’d open up to be friendly. He was given his own room at the shelter due to anxiety. I was given a meeting (he was hiding behind blankets, but was given plenty of time to greet). The entire adoption process was very streamlined. It did not cost much to bring Louie home, and they even provided neutering, vaccination, and information about future vaccines. They offered some of his food to get him started and adjusted at home, and they even micro-chipped him, which made me feel confident. It took awhile for him to get adjusted- 2 days or so wanting to be under the bed, but playing and treats challenged him out of hiding. He is absolutely our child now- a cuddly, loud, and othe

We "adopted" Mylo recently. Paige, our Dakin consultant, was excellent throughout the process! She was patient, informative and accommodating. We totally recommend the service and suggest donating as the majority of employees seem to be volunteers.
