Daisy's Pet Playground

Unfortunately the lowest score is one star because I would have given none! We left five of our dogs here for boarding over Thanksgiving while we were out of town. We’ve used Daisy’s as our boarding facility for a few years now and never had any issues…at least that we knew of. This time though, at least three of our dogs were not fed meals or medicated. How do we know? They returned the meals which I had packaged individually along with their medications mixed in when we picked them up. They tried to say the days were just mixed up which is impossible because I only packaged them for the exact amount of time they were to be boarded. Here’s just a few pics of what was returned. Think about going elsewhere!! Dorothy was a gift to my husband who loves her dearly! We live in NW Indiana but my husband works in Evansville so needs a day care for Dorothy. He has been taking Dorothy to Daisy’s for a few months. He often complains that he picks her up and she is covered in urine, feces, and exhausted. He said he has addressed with the staff there however it continues. This last experience is rough to share so pet owners be aware. Dorothy chewed and ingested something at Daisy’s that was hard plastic. She is a Russell and we don’t have anything hard plastic like this around because we know she gets bored and will chew and swallow. Dorothy got sick and “threw up” the plastic she chewed. We chose Daisy’s to board our dog (7 months old) while away for a weekend. This was our first time using a daycare/boarding facility so overall the staff were very friendly and I do feel our boy was well taken care of. They keep a feeding and activity record and you can see pictures of your pet on their Facebook which I appreciated. Lots of enrichment and socialization! Unfortunately, it feels like that came at a price because even though our dog is fully vaccinated he was just diagnosed with kennel cough (which our vet says is very common here), and he could only have come in contact from boarding as he isn’t around any other dogs and we haven’t taken him to any other public places besides boarding. Daisy’s Pet Playground is an absolute gem! We drive all the way from Louisville to board our dogs here, and with good reason! The moment you walk through the door, you can feel how much the entire staff truly cares about the animals they look after. Everyone is warm, attentive, and wonderfully patient, and they treat each pet as if they were their own. Mark, the owner, sets the tone with his kindness and professionalism. He clearly pours his heart into creating a safe, happy, and well-run environment. You can tell he knows every dog’s personality and needs, and that kind of personal attention means everything. Cannot recommend them enough. I boarded with them once a few months ago when we were going out of town and I will never go anywhere else. They posted videos on facebook of the dogs so I could see how she was doing. I took my dog back to get groomed and she was so excited to be there again. They did an outstanding job with grooming. The girl who took her for grooming was very knowledgeable and was able to recommend the best cut for her coat type. She looks great and their prices for both grooming and boarding are extremely reasonable. They are so wonderful with her. All of the staff talks to her and she loves it. 10/10
