When I learned that our sweet Pennylane would need a special surgery to fix a torn CCL in her left hind leg...my first question: what's a CCL? A simple explanation... similar to a torn ACL in our knee area. The canine procedure, or TPLO is highly specialized and offers a real solution for our beloved pets. The procedure to repair the CCL...or Tibal Plateau Leveling Osteotomy is, in a single word amazing. Even more amazing is the surgeon who performed the work- one, Dr Philip Pacchiana. He was recommended by my general veterinarian, Dr Allison Glassman. Dr Glassman was spot on in guiding me to Dr. Pacchiana. Thank goodness for Gryn’s surgeon, Dr Philip Pacchiana, who provided unflagging patient calm experience during the endless post-surgery days after my dog’s first TPLO surgery. Hi Dr. Pacchiana, Now that we are about 6 months past Mayzie’s second TPLO surgery, I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for all you did for her. Over the last month or so, we have eased Mayzie back into some of her favorite activities….hiking, playing fetch, and most recently going for a swim. We are seeing the dog that we had a year and a half ago before she got hurt and she is noticeably more happy and more herself. Our German Shepherd had surgery for torn ligaments in her left knee. It could not have gone better! Kali is doing fantastic 6 weeks later! You would barely know she had surgery at all except for her fur growing back in. We could not be happier with Kali's progress and I would highly recommend their services if you ever need them.
