Along with being kind, the staff was knowledgeable and informative. They took excellent care of my senior dog who was a nervous thing for surgery. They were diligent with follow up calls to ensure my dog's well-being.

Our dog was seriously ill, and we were on the way to our vet, when they called and told us they were too busy and could not help us. We googled "emergency vets", and CAH came up. We called, and are so glad we did. Lorinda at the front desk spoke to us with concern and kindness, and said to come in, they would make room for us. That friendly voice was just what we needed, and it only got better from there. Dr. Sandberg and vet tech Michele were ready for us, took the time to make sure they understood the issue, and gave our boy immediate relief. Vet tech Kristen also took great care of him. My puppy was not well and needed to be seen by a vet. Our normal vet was not available. The care and knowledge that was provided for oiur puppy at the end of rhe day, was thorough and the staff did not rush their treatment in order to go home. I wound use this vet again without hesitation.

I was treated with such kindness over the weekend when I had to put my elderly boxer down unexpectedly! I typically use Amberwood But they were not open on the weekend, so I called CAH And explained to them what was happening and they told me to just immediately bring her in. They immediately swooped her up And took her back to do oxygen And made me feel comfortable as I waited. She ended up being thought to of had A seizure or a stroke or possibly both And with her age and the Very high likelihood of her having Cancer We opted that the kindest thing to do would be to put her down (due to likelihood that there was neurological damage And she was suffering). I’m so grateful to the whole team at Culpeper Animal Hospital for saving my dog’s life. I had previously taken him to Blue Ridge Animal Hospital when he stopped eating, drinking and was clearly in pain. I felt that they were not invested in my dog’s health so I quickly made the decision to get a second opinion at Culpeper. Wow, so glad I did- they were able to quickly determine the issue, which was a corn cob ingested about a month ago which was caught in his small intestine. The 5 star rating is not only for the expert care he received - each person in that office was so compassionate, and extremely thorough in explaining every single detail related to the diagnostics and post surgery care.
