Cullman County Animal Shelter / Animal Control

Did not care at all about a dead dog being on the side of the road, I was a traveler traveling through and I saw a dead German Shepherd and I got passed on between 3 or 4 different numbers and then got to animal control who kept trying to give me a number to someone else when I'm driving I obviously cannot take it down. In Florida when you call about a dead dog on the side of the road when you drive back by in about an hour it'll be gone you don't get passed around like this. Do better

Very obvious they do not care about animals. If you have a lost/stray dog, just know they couldn’t care less and will literally tell you “Drop it back off where you found it, it’ll go home.” I picked it up out of the middle of the busy highway. They’re a joke. Thankfully, I found the owner myself by posting the dog all over Facebook. The dog had been missing for days and wondered miles and miles away from home.

UPDATE: control shouldn't be on this list. I've been fighting to get a pack of 15 dogs that eat trash and smell to high heaven with no shelter to be picked up checked or any thing. The police couldn't believe it, the Alabama department of environmental development couldn't believe it dhr couldn't believe it. Absolutely zero help. No vaccination/ no kennels permit just wild free dogs running everywhere. A Absolute nightmare. The city council ,mayor and peta are my next calls. I've documented everything. I don't know how much longer I've got to live but with my dieing breath this 12 year nightmare will ened one way or another

We adopted this sweet lab puppy almost a month ago. He fit right in as soon as we got home! The ladies at the shelter were so sweet to us & the process was easy to adopt this little guy. So happy my older dog has a friend to run with now! They play so well & my beagle mix acts like a puppy again lol

My wife and I adopted a cat here and added to our family of now 4 cats. The staff were super nice and loved that my wife wore a shirt of our cat Roo when we came. The process of the adoption was very straightforward. I’m so glad we spent the day in Cullman and came by here to give the tortie (Coco) that we found her furever home. Thank you being a special piece of the memories my wife and I are making. We can’t recommend this place enough! And thank you for the sweet note that was included in the veterinarian paperwork when I came to pick Coco up, it was a very thoughtful touch!
