Amazing people! I found a young squirrel today (Sunday) they were open and willing to take the little fella. I called and told them I think she was hungry and asked if I should feed her and they told me not to worry that they would have food ready when I arrived , I got there in about 15 minutes and they had a feast of fruit waiting for her.

I was walking in the forest today and my dogs noticed a raccoon off the main trail that was hanging upside down in a tree with his foot caught. We tried to help him but couldn’t release his foot. We called Critter Care Wildlife Society and they answered the phone right away, took down my info and asked for a few pictures. A volunteer arrived quickly and we hiked back in and she was able to release the raccoon’s foot and we got him in the crate to then go for care. Amazing response and I was so grateful for the help as it was not option to leave that poor raccoon as he would have died for sure. Thank you Critter Care. I made a donation a few weeks ago and I will be supporting this wonderful organization regularly.

Last year they helped us out by picking up a baby skunk that was on our school’s property, this time they took in an infant mouse that had fallen out of our ceiling. They are so helpful and compassionate. I’m grateful that there is a local service for critters of all shapes and sizes.

Had a baby skunk abandoned by mom stuck in my basement window well, they had a volunteer come out on short notice to help remove the skunk in a humane calm manner within 2 hours of calling. Amazing volunteers doing this!

I reached out to them, because there was a squirrel that was very sick, and acting abnormal, and the person on the phone was trying to force me to take a video to send to him on Facebook. When I let him know that I have several pets, and I can tell when a living animal is acting out of the ordinary, his response was.. I don't want to send a volunteer all the way to where you are in the event that the animal is fine. When I challenged him on this, he hung up on me. Isn't that the job of the volunteers? To come check critters and wildlife ins distress/danger? Why would a person, go out of their way to report an animal that doesn't require assistance or care. The person in charge of the phone, should definitely be looked into by the care society, because his behavior and actions towards the
