CountryMax - Farmington

I have never had a store pack and box an order so well. I ordered 5 jars of lime pickles. When I opened the box, I found another box. The second box was stuffed full of packing paper. Under the paper, I found my 5 jars of pickles. Each jar was wrapped in 2 padded envelopes one inside the other and placed so there was very little movement of the jars. Underneath the jars was a thick layer of packing. The order was also shipped very quickly. I will DEFINITELY order from CountryMax again. The first photo is how the jars came packed and the second one shows all the packing that keep my pickles safe. Thank you so much. 😁

Used to enjoy shopping at this location, but it has really gone downhill at an astonishing rate. Employees don't seem to care anymore about customer service and have little to no knowledge of the products in the store. Prices are insanely high on most of their products. Decided I won't be returning after a cashier insisted I leave my wallet or cellphone with him as collateral to get a 40lb propane tank filled. I wouldn't even consider handing those items over to some kid I don't know. Shopping elsewhere from now on.

I stopped in around lunch time today, 11/3/2025, to pick up a big bag of dog food. I had my baby in her carrier in one hand and the dog food bag in the other and every single employee that I saw in the store offered to help me carry the bag and/or hold the doors open for me. That's rare these days so it was really appreciated to see helpful employees at a place of business!

What a beautiful, well stocked, place. A pet/ animal store. So many things to look at!

The staff here are fantastic, but I really wish the owners would fix up this location. The other ones are larger, nicer, more open, and more organized. Since this is the "original" location it's outdated and cramped in comparison. They don't have room for nearly as much selection and it doesn't have the same "country max feel" as the others and feels kind of run down. This one is the closest to me by far but I still find myself driving to Fairport a lot instead.
