Country Care Animal Clinic

Awesome vet. People are super friendly. Prices are reasonable. Care is outstanding. I started going to Country Care when I became disenchanted with my former vet of 20+ years. Now I won't go anywhere else. They somehow always manage to fit us in same day for emergencies and when emergency vet suggested CCL surgery was necessary, Country Care called in a specialist and completed the surgery within 2 days, continuing to answer questions and make med changes for weeks. They are very responsive to phone calls and texts. And someone is always there to help load and unload my oversized pup that thinks he should be lifted into the car. They are closed Fri-Sun, so we have a backup as that seems to be when big issues arise, but they generally respond over the weekend and if more follow-up is necess

When you can get in, you will be happy. They are good about picking up the phone or calling you back. I'm more than happy with their care for my dog & cats. They are very easy to talk with, and it's obvious everyone cares about the pets, which I can't say about the vets in Los Angeles. Also it nice to see the horse and its Pony buddy which my Husky loves to visit with.

I took my beautiful German Shepard mix Sophia to the Country Care Animal Clinic in Penngrove California. She had a small hematoma develop on her left ear and they stated that surgery was our only option. We proceeded to surgery but Sophia came out looking a little different than what was originally explained to me. I was told they would cut her ear open, cauterize the nerves, a contraption would be used to compress her ear at the hematoma site to prevent further blood pooling, a drain would be inserted, and her ear would be taped to the top of her head. Sophia came out with over 10 drains, the contraption stretched from the tip of her ear to the base of it, and her ear was stitched into her scalp on the back of her head. The receptionist is delightful and kind, the medical staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the veterinarians are patient! I have had dwindling hope that I would find another family operated Veterinary Hospital after my favorite local DVM retired until now. I highly recommend this team and trust them with the medical care for all my pets. Prices are extremely reasonable and for a small facility they will surprise you with brand new, top notch in house imaging and lab equipment. Thank you Country Care!

Dr. Woods, Shiloh and the rest of the team are so nice to work with. They are compassionate and have always there to help. They have helped me in emergency situations and routine visits and they are always professional thorough and ALWAYS have my animals best interest in mind. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
