Cordele Animal Shelter

This animal shelter is great! My dad and I went, and we were very impressed. The workers are very friendly and so are the animals. The reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because it kinda smells. If you are used to animals, it really won't bother you, but I'm pretty used to them and it still bothered me a bit. It was very clean though, you can even smell the bleach they use in the dog part of the shelter. Overall my favorite part was that the animals (especially the cats) were well trained and very kind, but of course I also loved how nice the lady was that helped us out. They try their hardest to get good homes or rescue groups to adopt all the lost dogs and cats. Adopting from the shelter is a true act of kindness and compassion.

The staff is always super nice! Animals up for adoption are so cute and sweet; I wanted to bring them all home!

It's been talking with this rude woman about taking dogs that was dropped off at my property and I called like she asked only they never answer and then the lady practically called me a liar and I had to prove I'd called. She claimed to have told me cash or check when all she told me was 45 a dog. I can see why they put her at animal control is clear ...... just pray the dogs get good homes
