We truly love Blackshear Veterinary Hospital. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how much they genuinely care, not just about the pets, but about the families attached to them. The receptionists are warm and welcoming, the nurses and techs are patient and gentle, and the vets always take their time to explain everything clearly without ever making you feel rushed. Dr. McCall even speaks Spanish! We have three dogs and a cat, and every single one of them has been treated with kindness, compassion, and professionalism at every visit, routine checkups and stressful moments alike. What stands out the most is that they remember them. They know their personalities, their little quirks, and they talk to them like they’re their own pets. You can tell this isn’t just a clinic! We are travelers and our dog needed care. We got an emergency last minute appointment and a prompt diagnosis. Our beloved pet needed surgery which was done the following morning. They kept us in the loop the entire time and she was able to come home by afternoon. She is recovering well and we are very grateful for their expertise and compassion. Everyone was very understanding and friendly. The cost was very reasonable and the loving expert care our dog received is deeply appreciated.

We recently took our chihuahua in after he hurt his neck, and I cannot say enough good things about the care he received. Rupert had never been seen before, and on a Saturday they worked him in immediately. From the moment we walked in, the staff was compassionate, gentle, and incredibly attentive. The veterinarian took the time to thoroughly examine him, explain everything clearly, and offer treatment options that made sense. They handled him with such care and patience, which meant the world to us. Within a few days of starting treatment, we saw a big improvement — and our little Rupert is now back to his happy, tail-wagging self. It's clear that this team truly loves animals and goes above and beyond. We are so grateful and would gladly return.

My Marley had to have all but 4 teeth removed. Dr McCall and Dr Powell are both very caring and capable doctors. Everything done was fully explained to me and my questions were listened to and answered without rushing. And then! I was totally surprised at the reasonable fees. This group hands down is where my trust lies.

My golden retriever loves boarding here. I appreciate the loving and attentive care given to my fur baby. Everytime she goes here, I can always trust that she is in good hands and being pampered by a staff who really makes it their mission to treat every beloved pet as though they are on a vacation as well. I also absolutely love having her groomed by Kari; her stellar attention to detail and expertise is top notch. I highly recommend her. The entire staff is so welcoming. 👍👍
