Companion Animal Hospital

I recently brought my husky, Abby, to Companion Animal Hospital for an emergency pyometra surgery. It was a very stressful and scary for us both, she is my service dog. They got her in immediately and she is in good shape now, which I’m extremely grateful for. I especially want to mention Jessica — she was amazing. She was kind, patient, and walked me through everything at a time when I really needed reassurance. My only suggestion for improvement would be better consistency and clarity with pricing communication. Before the surgery, I received mixed information about what was included. Everything did end up being a fair price, but it would help if everyone gave the same information up front. Recently took my bulldog in for a checkup and was very pleased with the attentive service by the staff. From the moment we walked in we were treated with kindness and the staff was ready to take care of my puppy. I was pleased on how little we had to wait during the visit. I will continue to come here and will recommend others to come here as well.

Dr. Gibson is by far the best exotic vet I’ve been able to find within the Houston area. It’s always a struggle finding someone who is willing and knowledgeable on treating reptiles and aquatics. She’s always able to get my animals in quick and I’ve yet to have a negative experience within the 2 and 1/2 years of her being my vet. The vet techs and staff are also super sweet and the prices aren’t outrageous.

They knew I was on a very tight budget but sold me three very expensive prescriptions anyway, thus putting me well over my budget. They are normally a good vet to go to, but I didn't appreciate the expensive prescriptions when they were aware of my budget up front.

One of the best vet experiences I've had. Unfortunately, I had to go home without my pet, but the crew at Companion Animal Hospital made the process a little less traumatizing. She had stopped eating and drinking, she had very heavy breathing, she was lethargic and the tests we ran were not looking good. It was a tough decision but it was the right decision. Dr. Gibson is knowledgeable, compassionate and has a calming presence. All of the vet techs / front desk attendants were kind, respectful and also knowledgeable.
