Disgusting place. They shouldn't be allowed to sell live animals!! Hermit crabs really?? Do the employees even know about them? How expensive it is to take care of them? The painted shells r TOXIC and this store sells them. The poor rats and hamsters no room to move around and on sawdust foe bedding. This is horrible for their respiratory systems!!!! I had to run out of there was getting sick to my stomach!!

Listen, to all the animal lovers out there writing 1 star reviews over the conditions of the live animals here. I have a feeling you don't understand what Columbus market is or how things work there. Thursday to Sunday those animals are brought in and sold off. They don't live there for months and years, is not a place like that. The rats are all in little tanks that weekend, they're bred and sold off for feed. Sure you can buy one, take it home and love it as a friend, we have 3 from there our snake didn't eat and they got too big. But if you don't understand what you're talking about, please don't write bad reviews. There are regulations to follow legally and this store meets or exceeds those requirements. I ended up taking home a rat just because I felt so bad for the poor guy, in a tiny tank with no friends nor proper or adequate care. He's now living the best life ever. I know I shouldn't have supported the pet shop by giving them money but I couldn't help it, I was distraught at what I was seeing and to be told they're all for live snake food. Why live? Why so barbaric? I won't ever enter this shop again, breaks my heart just doing so and seeing all the animals being kept the way they are. Even the Bettas at $30 a piece in a tiny pot, not even fish stand a chance here. Sad, really really sad.

All of the ball pythons were in one tiny tank. Don't buy from here. They should be in different tanks because it stresses them out if they are all stuck in one tank. If the store can't house them properly, then they shouldn't be selling these animals. I don't recommend this pet store if you actually love animals. Buy from a reputable breeder online if you are looking for a reptile, don't come to this store

It was my first time visiting here. I wish I hadn't. I feel bad for all of the animals in this store. The birds are in very small cages with multiple others. The rats and mice are in aquariums with no toys or hiding spaces. The fish tanks are pathetic with absolutely nothing in them but mold on the inside and fish. The reptiles are in small enclosures. This place should bot be selling animals. Shame on them. Do not by from here.
