I'm giving 1 star because my dog was spayed (on 2/28/26) and appears to be recovering well, however how I was treated is completely unacceptable and I would give 0 stars based on that if I could. I want to be clear: this service is valuable, and I am extremely grateful affordable spay/neuter options exist. My normal vet quoted me $1100-$1400 which is not something I can afford, however I wanted to do the right thing and get my dog spayed. The cost itself was not the issue. What was unacceptable was the lack of clarity, inconsistent communication, and the appalling behavior of one volunteer at pickup. The CNY SNAP website lists the price for a spay as $120. When I called to make the appointment, I was told $150 (1/4/26). On the morning of drop-off, a different volunteer told me $125. I b

I have two adopted kitties from this location and love the two of them. They rely heavily on donations and volunteers. If you are looking for a cat, please check them out on their Facebook page and come meet their cats in person. They all deserve a wonderful and safe home

If you are looking to adopt a cat, this is the place. They have a wide variety of loving cats. We adopted our amazing 3 legged cat, Stargazer, back in the middle of 2025.

This is a great group I got my very first dog fixed here about 11 years ago. I've taken all the rescues and my own here with no complaints. Just to give yall an idea collectively ive taken 5 dogs here who have all had a quick and safe recovery. Yes there is a wait, can you imagine how many people are in cortland county and onondaga county that truly need the help? They care and LOVE what they do. A lot of the people VOLUNTEER their time. Affordable is absolutely correct. Safe and knowledgable passionate, these people could use a little appreciation.

Its has been a sanctuary for the cats that they are able to take in, nurture and love and provide treatment for. They have helped both cats and people alike. I am grateful something like this exsists thats why when ever i can I will make donations and encourage others to do so, to help keep something that is a very big part of our community alive. As always people please spay and neuter your animals.
