Clatsop County Animal Shelter

These are the best trained shelter dogs that you will ever find. I started walking dogs as a volunteer and was blown away by how well trained these dogs are. The volunteers have worked hard to teach these doggos not to jump or pull on the leash. They are honestly better at walking on a leash than most of my friends' dogs! Walking the dogs has been the highlight of my weeks.

Definitely happy I just stopped in!! Found my newest Buddy Chet!! Couldn’t be happier with this guy!!! He’s enjoying his new life of being a house dog!!!

The staff at the shelter are all extremely devoted to the animals and do a super job! I can't thank them enough for all they do! Their jobs are certainly not easy, but they do it with professionalism and compassion that I highly commend! This shelter relies heavily on volunteers. There is an awesome group of people that are very committed and passionate about the animals, but they could always use more! If you have any spare time and want to enrich the lives of dogs and cats, and your own, then this is the place for you!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate Steve he really he's an awesome guy I really enjoyed my time volunteering there I have a lot of respect for what they do there but it looks like I might be moving back so I might be volunteering again anyway thanks a lot Steve you're a great man and I appreciate what you did for Kiezer

We got to spend a little over an hour with this little girl, and then she came to her forever home a few days later. The staff are very thorough in the selection process. They are friendly, and accommodating.
