The dog catcher here was intimidating and completely rude to me this morning. I brought in a stray chasing my husband's car towards the highway. She told me I could be charged with stealing someone's private property, and by removing the dog from the area made it harder for them to find the dog's owner. When I tried taking the dog back and going door to door she told me I needed to leave the dog. (I initially took it to the vet thinking they would recognize it and know who its owner was. They checked to see if it was microchiped; it was but the number had not been registered.) Being so upset I made some errors filling out the surrender paper and she rudely handed me back the form saying, "Read it again, initial, as I stated before." The older lady that works there is rude and apprently does not know how to do basic math. We adopted Dottie on January 19th and I had set an alarm on my phone to go off June 5th because that would have been almost 6 months of us having her and I needed to get her spayed. I called the shelter to verify which vet they used for their voucher. The lady who answered the phone was extremely rude but said she would call us back with that information. Well she did call us back, saying a citation was issued because the voucher is expired and the dog was not fixed in time and they never received proof of vaccinations or spay etc... This made me go pull out the paper work we received from the shelter on Dottie. No where in this paper work does it say anything about us providing proof to them abou

I was disappointed by the way I was treated at the City of Giddings Animal Shelter today. I saw a dog on their Facebook page posted yesterday. I went there at 10am to see if he was available and I was told rudely that he was adopted but I could look for other dogs. So I went inside. I was again rudely told that I could look at the dogs but the kennels had not been cleaned. So I went into the horrible smelling dog room, walked around once, sat by one of the dog kennels to see how a dog I was interested in would act, and then I left after a few minutes.
