All of the staff genuinely care about your animal. We've always had dogs, and Dr. Cindy has been our vet over the years. For over 20 years. We travel to Chelsea from Saline. We'll worth the trip.

My dog had a sudden unexpected medical emergency and collapsed. We were trying to rush her to an emergency vet in Ann Arbor but we couldn’t make it in time. We were losing her and took a chance stopping here to try and get help. It was close to closing time and the vet was in surgery. My husband and I were screaming and pleading for help and the staff did everything in their power to quickly get her help while still maintaining safety for their other animals in the hospital. My husband and I were in a panic and not very nice in the beginning but everyone was very understanding and accepted our apologies. Unfortunately our pup couldn’t be saved, but they tried regardless with cpr, oxygen, and epinephrine. She was only 7 years old and we lost her within 30 minutes of her collapsing. I know t

We have been here with both of our senior dogs, and both were under a more emergent circumstance when our vet could not get us in. They got us in same day both times as ‘new patients’ because they have a genuine care for your pets/family members. You can feel that there is a true care from every staff member. They are very down to earth and in it for the right reasons. Would highly recommend them and plan to have any future visits with them

Aug 1, 2025 my daughters found a newborn kitten not even a week old outside covered in fleas, eyes barely open, starving to death. As a Chelsea resident the first thing I did was call Chelsea Animal Hospital. Only to find out they don’t actually save animals lives. I was told I could make an appointment for 3:30pm it was 11am at the time. The kitten would’ve died by then. I was referred to two other “animal hospitals” only to be turned away again and again! Shame on them. They don’t care about animals ONLY MONEY! Photo after me and my daughters went to the pet store bought milk and bottles gave the kitten a bath got the fleas off. He’s still barely alive. Still doing our best to save this animal! Unlike Chelsea Animal hospital

We were in a time crunch to get my daughter's dog ready to travel to Hungary in less than a month! Kristina and Chelsea Animal Hospital were fantastic. So professional and helpful and willing to take questions and work with us. I'm bad with names, but I think it was Dr. Rode who helped us as well. If you are traveling out of the country with your dog or probably anything else you need, this is a great veterinary practice to go to. 10/10.
