Cheat Lake Animal Hospital

Just took my cat Derek here today, I’m very happy and pleased with how he was treated. Didn’t have too long of a wait and prices were the best we’ve seen anywhere. To do x-rays, blood work, and an urgent care exam, it cost under $1k. Don’t have an answer yet as to what is causing Derek to be nauseous but we might have to take him back this Sunday to further assess and hospitalize him. This animal hospital was very organized and clean. Everyone we spoke to was friendly and knew what they were doing. Parking is free as well. If you live in PA it is a bit of a drive but worth it. They took the time and care to assess Derek and I couldn’t be more grateful. I will be coming back here with my other cats as well in the future. I was on a work trip and my service dog Cricket had an anaphylactic reaction to something. I brought her in the middle of the night. The staff were all so kind and compassionate. They made registration quick and easy. She got care within 5-10 minutes after arrival. They treated her cautiously and waited between treatments to minimize the amount of medication needed. They also sent me home with enough medication to safely make it through this situation without needing to make a visit to my regular vet. The office was very clean and there was plenty of room for animals to be separated. The vet and techs were friendly and the care was outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable the visit was. I truly wish I lived closer, because I would switch to this practice without a second

Cheat lake has some of the best service around. The staff truly cares about the health and well being of your animal, and they do a great job figuring out the issue quickly and taking action. I just had to put my dog down with them and they truly helped the experience be less hard. Extremely caring and comforting and buddy loved them too! Definitely recommend especially if you have a dog with many medical issues Just received this card in the mail. I cannot recommend this vet enough. They truly care this was such a nice thing to receive and know that buddy’s memory has made a difference to another doggy in need

My sister was watching over my Staffordshire terrier (Shadow). She had seizure's every few weeks . We know she would need to be scanned at a neurologist . The seizures that weekend were happening more often than usual. Shadow was taken to CHEAT LAKE to see if they could help get some fluid in her to minimize the seizures at that time . Shadow was at a few different vets and they gave her medicine to help control to seizures. Cheat lake wanted to keep her overnight to monitor her for 3k. Clearly that would be excessive to watch her . We decided to take her home and give her the medication that they were prescribing Phenobarbital in a very high does 96mg 6 hours plus what they had given her. The next day (11/11)she was ok. No seizures and was starting to eat and drink with some help. That

I took my cat here today.. I will NEVER take him elsewhere. In a 2 hour visit they were 5x more thorough than the emergency vet I had spend 14 hours at the night prior. Within 20 minutes of arrival my cat had a urine sample, bladder ultra sound, and we were discussing what else would be a good idea to look at. They went above and beyond, literally doing things they didn’t even have to do. Also, they are beyond reasonable with prices and the place is clean! They are the most caring team I’ve met, from receptionists to the doctors and everyone in between. I can not thank them enough for their time today. 5 stars isnt enough.
