298 days and this girl found her home! The staff worked with my wife and me to meet and spend time with their guests to determine who, if anyone, would be right for our family BEFORE we got our kids involved and their hopes up. The plan didn't go exactly as we hoped, but they had our best interests in mind and we're professional and communication was great. We are happy now and will soon be visiting to try to add another 4 legged member to the mix.

I just adopted a sweet kitten, Orca from CPHS. Everyone I spoke with via email and in person at the shelter was very helpful and caring. Thank you for all the hard work you do to help the animals! Orca is getting settled and fitting right in at her new home, thanks to the great foster care and work done at CPHS!

We adopted a little tuxedo cat named Puck back in September of 2025. He has become an amazing addition to our home. We are so happy what you all did for us and making the process so easy.

On your website it says "Stray Animals"...... than once you press it, the page directs to a "Lost Pets" page. 🤨 HOW is that helping, STRAY animals or people who need help RESCUING them? If you can't help stray animals...... at least DON'T have a LINK with the words "Stray Animals" ON IT. PENNSYLVANIA HAS TO DO BETTER, ACTUALLY HELPING STRAY ANIMALS. EVEN IF IT MEANS EUTHANASIA. I RATHER AN ANIMAL BE PUT TO SLEEP. THAN SUFFER ON THE STREET. BUT APPARENTLY.... EVERY SHELTER IN PA THINKS DIFFERENTLY.

They worked with happy paws and happy homes to help get a stray cat in my neighborhood neutered and up to Date on vaccines. Excellent services this place has for the poor helpless animals in the area. I always recommend getting a pet from here and not shopping for one. The pets from here will be more loving and happy than any other because you save them. Just like my new cat that grew up on the streets, he's now able to live in my home, thanks to the humane society and happy paws. Also, fluffy butt Link loves his new little brother :)
