I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience with Cave Creek K9 Training! Once we brought our 9 month old German Shepherd home, we were amazed by her transformation. German Shepherds are incredibly smart but can also be very strong-willed, and we were struggling to manage some of that energy at home. From day one, Rodd had such a calm, confident approach that immediately put us and our dog at ease. Not only did our shepherd learn all the essential commands, but Rod also worked with us so we knew exactly how to reinforce everything at home. This is my reactive dog Hazel. Walks were a very stressful experience for both of us for a long time. Hazel was very reactive to other dogs which made walking with very stressful. I was always watching around corners and trying to avoid other dogs all together. One day I decided I was tired or being stressed and embarrassed, so I reached out to Rodd at Cave Creek K9 training. I started his private lesson program and the by the first lesson I could already see the difference in Hazel. She was excited to learn and every morning she looked forward to her lessons. I was so happy to see her enjoying these lessons. He was able to offer me appropriate corrections for Hazel and tools I could use to keep her focus and calm. Rod was the best! He had my 16 month german shepard/golden retriever mix for 3 weeks and did wonders with him! My main focus was for reactivity with other dogs and pulling on the leash. Saint came back with so much more than that, his behaviour and obedience completely changed for the better, and now I am no longer anxious about going on walks and coming across other dogs. He walks so much better like he’s a new dog on a leash, it’s incredible. He’s been doing so well when face to face with other dogs and I would have never been able to do it without Rod and his team! Whiskey stayed for a month for board and train and I couldn't recommend Rodd more! He was only 5 1/2 months at the time of board and train, he learned so much for being so young. I am beyond impressed with Whiskey after training and will continue with his training at home and with lessons as well.
