Dr. Carson and the team at Catoctin repeatedly go the extra mile to tend to our 6 fur babies needs, and to our expectation which can be cumbersome and a little demanding at times. They handle every request with grace and strive to accommodate us at every turn. From young to old, and from socialite to recluse, our 6 pups are given individualized care and compassion that lessens the anxiety and stress on everyone. The vet techs and the frontend staff are wonderful genuine people with a heart and desire to understand and help. They go to great lengths to know their clients and patients on a personal level which is truly noticed and appreciated . Fantastic place overall. We drive 1.5 hrs one way because there are simply no vets of this caliper nearer to us, and we have no regrets doing

This is the most outstanding vet I’ve ever been, and I’ve been to a lot of vets considering I have five cats and used to foster for a rescue. The team was incredibly friendly. The dr did a great job on my cat’s dental surgery. They are very reasonably priced. They are thorough and explain everything in advance. They were so kind and patient with my ten-month-old daughter who came to the appointment with me, too. I also witnessed them help a family who found a cat in bad condition and showed up without an appointment at closing time. They all dropped everything to help that animal. This place if filled with kind and competent humans. The only reason I was able to get my cat’s dental surgery done is because they’re the only vet in the area who hasn’t doubled all their prices in the past ye

Terrible experience. For nine months was told repeatedly my dog had worms and they pushed worm treatment. We were testing and treating this for months. Found out inadvertently, from the actual vet there, that he never actually had a positive result for larvae or worms for months, just positive for the antigen. We’re talking hundreds and hundreds in tests and treatments later. Save your pet and your checkbook, this place only wants to pump their financials. What a sham.

Do not bring your beloved pets here. They "treat" dogs in the waiting room, including exams and shots. That's what you pay for...... Dr. Carson is just fine. I do not recommend Dr. Robinson and Dr. Trinidad-just avoid. They will push you to do unnecessary medical interventions really quick just to sell you something. Dr. Robinson in particular has an awful demeanor and hates when you ask questions (that alone is suspicious). There are smaller/non corporate hungry clinics in the area- do not fall for this one and take your pet and money elsewhere!!

I've been going to Catoctin for the last 12 years, with 3 dogs. They have been wonderful! The staff is all very knowledgeable and friendly, especially the front desk team who patiently answer questions, handle appointments, and manage the ins and outs with all the animals. The tech staff is also very good - each one has shown interest and care for all our animals. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
