Cat Hospital of Vero Beach

When our sweet 17 year old cat became ill, we called Cat Hospital of Vero Beach as a less stressful place for her. We could not have found a more calming environment with more caring people. From our first visit, Dr. Gambella calmed our baby with her soothing voice and touch, while giving us thorough information and answering our questions with patience and honesty. Unfortunately, we soon had to make the painful decision to let our baby go. With gentle guidance from Dr. Gambella during our cat's final moments, this heartbreaking time felt safe and loving. Outstanding!!!!! Personally the staff is amazing. I loved the decor and the freedom the cats had. I loved that our exam room had birds... I wish they had this type of place for dogs too. The Dr was amazing. The entire staff was amazing. Id give 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend. This will definitely be our forever vet for our cat.

I’m deeply disappointed by the treatment I received from the Cat Hospital of Vero Beach. I just moved to town and called with a sincere inquiry about finding a vet experienced with special-breed cats and was met with condescension and outright attitude. The staff member laughed at my question, responded defensively, and spoke to me as if I were ignorant for even asking. When I explained why I was asking (because many vets claim to know these breeds but don’t actually understand their needs), she doubled down with more dismissive energy. Then, rather than offering help, she told me they had an emergency and I’d need to be put on hold — even though I told her I had questions at the start of the call and she seemed ready to help. I ended the call feeling belittled and completely unseen. I

We are snowbirds who just moved here with our 2 cats. 18 years old and 9 years old. I immediately made an appointment to get them established and I wanted a cat only facility. WOW was I impressed. Receptionist was super helpful and friendly. Technicians were very friendly and gentle with each of them and Dr. G was amazing. Our 9 year old is very anxious and afraid of vets, She was soothing, patient and gentle with him and got him all checked out and nails clipped. A miracle. I highly recommend this Cat hospital. Chloe and Smudgie give it a 5 paw up rating.

I feel really lucky to have found this place! I have been taking my cats here for 6 years and have never had a bad experience. The calm, quiet environment definitely makes a huge difference in the overall stress of a vet visit for my skittish cat. Dr. Gambella is so kind and thorough in her care. She is very patient, makes you feel heard, and has a very accessible way of explaining things. I know that my cats are getting excellent care every visit. The little aviary between exam rooms is adorable, and my cats love it! Elaine (I'm sorry if that's not the spelling) at the front desk is always so informative and helpful.
