I never thought I would be writing this. I grew up wanting to be a veterinarian and once deeply admired Dr. Murphy. I even shadowed her as child. Unfortunately, my experience surrounding the euthanasia of my dog Paisley completely shattered that respect. Paisley was my best friend. I picked her out, named her, and loved her for her entire life. I found a tumor on her over a year ago and repeatedly told my family, offered to schedule vet visits, cover all costs, and handle transportation. Those offers were refused. I was not informed when the decision was finally made to euthanize her. I had to find out from someone else. I was promised the opportunity to be involved, to ask questions, and to be present for the discussion and goodbye. Instead, I was forced to watch over FaceTime while Dr.

I took my two year old cat Peaches for her first visit with caring. My baby was so anxious and scared she peed inside her carrier. The attendant was so nice. She cleaned her carrier and put a pad in it for the ride home. She was very calm throughout the exam and the vaccines. Everyone was so nice, friendly and professional. Peaches and I would highly recommend. 😻

Love this vet been going here for 5 years now and have 2 senior dogs. The whole team from office staff, to vet assistants, to the doctors is always professional and clearly love animals. Dr. Boyd is fantastic and so is Dr. Dean. Our dog Ollie was diagnosed with cancer and they were extremely proactive in their care, and very compassionate in working through the tough choices. When he had to be admitted they took extra good care to make him comfortable and gave him treats. They even sent me pictures with updates. I also find their pricing reasonable relative to other vets in our area, and I did shop around when my dog needed a dental and mass removal. Highly recommend!

Dr. Lisa Pinn McFaddin is, without question, the best veterinarian I’ve seen in my 40 years of owning dogs of all sizes. From our very first visit, I felt an immediate sense of trust — not only in her exceptional knowledge, but in her heart. I’ve trusted Dr. McFaddin through every stage of life, from the long-term, loving care of senior pets to the joyful (and sometimes overwhelming) experience of raising brand new puppies. She is also incredible when it comes to rehabilitation, whether helping a dog recover after surgery or supporting healing from everyday injuries and mobility issues. I’ve consistently had great experiences at Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Bristow, VA. I’ve brought my cat here for routine veterinary care for several years and have always been impressed with the professionalism and kindness of the staff. I recently brought my cat in for a painful issue, and Dr. August was incredibly gentle and compassionate with her. She took the time to thoroughly examine my cat, clearly explain the problem, and patiently answer all of my questions. I was especially touched when the staff followed up the next morning to check on my cat’s recovery. The level of care, attention, and genuine compassion we consistently receive from the doctors and staff at Caring Hands Animal Hospital truly sets them apart. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional veterin
