Mr. Wilford is a calm, cool, collected, distinguished feline of great sophistication. Or at least that’s what we thought prior to getting him groomed. You see, a couple months ago we noticed some mats developing between his front legs, so we took him in to the shop down the road (not Caren’s). A few hours later we received a call asking us to pick him up, there was nothing they could do. Wilford: One | Groomers: Zero. “Okay, we’ll try out another place,” we thought to ourselves. We found Caren’s Grooming Salon, booked an appointment and brought him in, mildly encouraged upon hearing, “in over a decade of doing this, we have only turned away two cats….both of which were Persian.” That afternoon we received a call and to our dismay, they were not able to service Wilford. Adopted this little guy from the animal rescue center and he was a mess . We went to several other groomers who wouldn’t bathe him. Caren’s took him in and had him looking like new! He went in looking like a stray and came out looking like a well loved pet. Their prices are very affordable and their customer service is most excellent. We take both of our dogs to them now. Highly recommend!

This is what Caren's Grooming Salon 1938 Hamilton St, Jacksonville, FL 32210 did to my Golden Retriever I took my 11 year 9 month Golden Retriever which is my Service Animal to Caren's Grooming Salon 1938 Hamilton St, Jacksonville, FL 32210 she had an appointment at 9 am September 17th, 2024 for a trim to her mane, rear feathers, hair on rump privet area, front legs and all her feet trimmed. They shaved ALL her pretty long hair off and her undercoat and she only has hair about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long now. They cut her on her left side by the left front shoulder area with the shears. They hurt her right back leg and foot pads. I took Abigail to her vet the next day. She came home with fleas and did not have fleas when she went there. My dog got turned away from other groomers because he was so scared. Not only did these ladies manage to cut his hair, they do a fantastic job of it! The price is very reasonable as well. Very highly recommended. 10/5.

I’ve been taking my Golden Doodle, Trixie, to Caren’s Grooming for over a year now, and she comes out cute as can be every single time! After so many bad experiences at other groomers giving her crazy cuts, or niping her. I’m so relieved to have found a place that gets it right. She always leaves looking absolutely adorable, cute as a button, and smelling fresh. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and it’s clear they truly care about the pets they work with. Trixie is always happy to go in and struts out feeling (and looking) her best. Highly recommend!
