Yesterday, I had the joy of adopting my sweet cat, Vivian, from Cape Ann Animal Aid, and I can’t say enough about how positive the entire experience was. From the moment I walked in, it was clear how much love and care the staff puts into every single animal. The facility was clean, welcoming, and filled with happy, healthy pets who are clearly treated with kindness and respect. The adoption process was smooth, and the staff took the time to answer all my questions, making sure I felt prepared to bring Vivian home. It’s obvious they truly care about matching each animal with the right family. Vivian herself is an absolute sweetheart — affectionate, gentle, and already settling in beautifully. It’s easy to tell she was well cared for before coming home with me. I’m so grateful to Cape Ann

When we entered the shelter, we weren’t really sure what we were looking for. One of the fantastic volunteers listened to our needs and pointed us towards Juniper (formerly known as Chara). We could not be happier with her - it was love at first sight! Since coming home, she’s been the subject of hundreds of photos and all of our adoration. Adopting a shelter pet from CAAA was straightforward and low-stress. We were encouraged to take our time in the adoption room to meet as many cats we wanted, and all the staff were extremely kind and helpful. It’s important to note that you’re not allowed to take the animals out of their enclosures without an approved adoption application. Ours was not approved by the time we arrived, but the shelter staff were able to contact our references and have

I weny to Cape Ann rescue looking for a black kitten and I had a woman named Makayla who was phenomenal. She was very patient and scanned four kittens because I wanted a very lovable one which I ended up adopting that day. The cat's name is Gumball which is a complete love I ended up changing her name to Luna which was perfect because she was everything and more. She's adjusting very well and now owns my house like it's her own. Here are some pictures That I wanted to pass along Of my Luna who will be 6 months July 7th. Thanks you again for this precious little girl. I love her to the moon and back. Kim

While we were waiting a woman came storming out, saying she would never go there again. We rolled our eyes, a Karen. 20 minutes later we felt the same way. My daughter had applied, gotten 3 general references and a reference from her vet but, while she had her lease and already owned a cat, she didn’t have a letter from her landlord that she was allowed to have a cat. She had confirmed a specific cat from the website but it was a no go without the landlord and she wasn’t even allowed to see or meet the cat. She went back the next day with the email and as she left, she found a family with 3 crying children since they couldn’t get the cat they wanted-everything in place but the vet hadn’t specified that their dog was up to date on rabies shots. The people there are nice and I think wan
