Canine Trade Group - John Van Olden

John has helped us numerous times with our dogs. Being a Dalmatian owner for 30+ years we thought we knew what we were doing. Our rescue was being very stubborn and John helped us work with our boy with all the basic commands, being reactive to other dogs, and transitioning a new pup in the mix. I love how John explains and demonstrates how to work with our dogs. Each time we meet with him we learn something new. He is absolutely amazing, like a dog whisperer. First time dog owner here and we were having issues with our new German Shepherd puppy from the start, so we reached out to John. We thought that we would have to give our GSD away due to our inexperience, but John's knowledge and expertise made an immediate impact in helping us overcome our issues! John is very thorough, passionate, and experienced with dogs and it shows through his work. He explained the entire process of his training services and even identified many minor 'actions' where my wife and I could have handled our puppy more appropriately during the first visit. John was very helpful with our mastiff puppy and even came to meet us at our home, also very flexible with re-scheduling and you can definitely tell he has a passion for working and being around dogs. His work ethic and experience is highly demonstrated when he’s teaching the handler as well as the dog, highly recommended for anyon, wether a young couple or a single parent. 10/10

I have a 4 year old, lab/pit Atticus, who suffers with anxiety and recently I felt he was not listening to me as he used to. I met with John and another trainer, Mark and I immediately started to learn what to expect from my dog! I am extremely impressed with their training techniques and even more impressed as I watched Atticus follow commands. Through the course of training and education I developed a sense of confidence and a deeper understanding of why I need and how to follow through and be consistent with what Canine Trade Group taught us both. John is extremely knowledgeable. If you have a question about dog behavior, he is your guy! He has helped my dogs make a complete turn around and we are now able to enjoy them. We often get compliments when people come over to our home or when we are out and about. I can not say enough good things about John and his training!
