Canine Design Salon, Spa and Resort

I have had a terrible experience with this Salon. I am not sure who is training the trainees here but I have taken my dog here to get groomed and the first job was half done and my dog didn’t even look brushed… The second time when they agreed to fix it she still isn’t done right and still doesn’t look brushed which is the least that should be done. I feel there needs to be someone checking behind the people being trained, there is seemingly no accountability to the work being done. Also I had a bad experience with appointments, my first appointment was rescheduled due to a groomer getting injured (which is understandable) but then my dog did not get a proper groom (stated above) and I took her back while my other dog had his first appointment with them and the groomer called me and said s

This is sadly no longer a professionally run grooming place. Ever since months ago losing key staff this place has unfortunately gone downhill quickly. Other groomers in town are picking up a lot of their clients and hearing the horror stories and communication issues. While it's difficult to find good workers in a small town I hope Canine Design can hire professional people again and recover from the reputation hit.

I came here to leave a review and saw some bad ones from a short time period. It amazes me people are so non understanding. These people at Canine Design have been amazing for over the 10 years we’ve been with them. Some of these people are so quick to try and hurt a small business. It’s a shame. We love them and will stand behind them.

These people are great. They’ve had a few groomers they gave a chance to and they didn’t deliver but this says nothing about the people that own it. They really care about the animals and those groomers aren’t there anymore. Full support for our favorite boarding and grooming place.

Great experience with grooming of our golden doodle (16 lbs). We have been here for grooming 3-4 times and no complaints. The owner was training a new employee today and both of them were extremely nice and seem to love our dog. Honestly we have tried a couple groomers in Shelby and this place is the only one that cuts her hair in a teddy bear cut. Thanks!
