Employee And Vet Incident After Mims died giving birth, four of her six puppies also died while in the care of Ellie Cross, who was referred by Cairo Animal Hospital. Some deaths happened after Ellie took the puppies to a football game without my permission. She blamed genetics, but no tests were done. The two surviving puppies were returned dirty, malnourished, and smelling bad. Ellie was verbally abusive when I picked them up. I took the puppies to a vet for cleaning and care, then reported the incident to authorities. The lesson: know your caregiver personally. Although I was told Ellie Cross would be dismissed, she was still employed as of February 27, 2026. None of the veterinarians contacted me, so my husband and I decided to stop using their practice. We had a minor puppy emergency today. I called and although they were closing, they stayed an extra hour and a half to see my pup. Not only were they great, but didn't charge me an arm, leg and kidney like other vets would have. It's wonderful to know that they care more about the animal than the money. I can't thank them enough!! If you need a vet in the Cairo/ Thomasville area, please take your pet there. They're amazing!!

Had an ex bring an animal under my name a long time ago so i was left with a bill of over500 dollars that i didnt know about and they would not see about my cats broken leg until it was paid in full. Then i asked if my sister could bring my cat ...i was placed on hold for 10 minutes before they hung up and wouldnt answer when i called back. Terrible customer service and management in my opinion. Ida paid it if they seen my cat first. Would not recommend if u had an emergency. They shouldnt charge someones account without that person being there with an id.

They were very helpful and easy to schedule with. They don’t charge an arm and a leg either! My pup had a surgery and they were very informative on the medication he needed to take. They got him in and out same day within a couple of hours and took good care of my boy! Would definitely recommend!
