Called the place while we were on the way there with a seizing dog. Their website said they were open. They did not pick up. Twenty minutes later we called again. They did not pick up either time. We made it to the clinic and through the first set of doors where the lights were on, and the second set were locked. We rang the bells multiple times and heard movement from beyond the door, but nobody showed up. After 5 minutes of standing there we left. We needed to drive 30 minutes to the next clinic.
Very disappointed. I called today asking if I could bring my cat with a possible tooth problem, she is my baby. I wasnt crying but I was very worried since she hasn't been eating much. I was referred by another vet and told me they were 24 hours. The lady told me they were closed and not accepting any appointments. Very rude and unacceptable. Fix your hours if you're not 24 hours then.
I left a piece of my heart with Dr. Jackson this evening. One of the most difficult moments of my life was making the decision to let my senior kitty go. Dr. Jackson took her time evaluating, answering questions and allowing me as much time as I needed to make the necessary decisions. After I made the heartbreaking choice, Dr. Jackson handed her over in a warm, soft blanket for my final goodbye. I could not have asked for a more compassionate ending! She treated my girl like it was her very own. Rest gently my love….
I brought in my cat, that had appeared to have suffered a seizure and the attending veterinarian, Dr. Jackson, was calm, helpful and compassionate. My best kitty girl had died and Dr. Jackson examined her and was detailed in her explanation about the likely cause of death. Emergency clinics get a bad rap because they see us, both animals and humans, in crisis. It's a no-win situation. I have two kitties still healthy and if something happens after hours or on a holiday I would not hesitate to bring either of them to Bucks County Vets. Pic is my girl in her healthy glory.
We're very grateful to Dr. Jackson for seeing us after hours and helping comfort our dog Cole in his last moments. She was wonderful with him and our family as we said goodbye.
