We have a drahthaar and a wirehaire from this kennel and they are both amazing. They truly do it all, and do it all well. Chris has always been available and he's been very helpful. His passion for gundogs and versatile breeds is obvious.

Chris is passionate about his work, and he has the knowledge and experience to channel that passion into producing and training some excellent hunting dogs. But believe him when he says these are hunting and hunt test dogs, not pets who occasionally go hunting. Manage your expectations. If you expect a high-drive, high-energy, high-intensity versatile hunting dog that you can take on ANY hunt, you won't be disappointed with a Briarwoods dog.

Chris raises and produces great dogs. As an owner of one of his dogs I couldn’t be more pleased. The dog is biddable, has a ton of drive, and is a TRUE representation of the breed. His dogs perform no matter what the game. Truly versatile.

I have 2 jagdterrier's from this kennel and i couldn't be happier with them, chris has been a big help and always willing to answer any questions and help whenever needed, he is very knowledgeable about the breed and is a great trainer, highly recommend Briarwoods GunDogs for both their dogs and their training

Chris is awesome! If you are looking to have your dog trained then look no further. Chris is very easily accessible and ALWAYS answers his phone. He is also very accommodating as well, our pups were still needing to be weighed every month for their heartworm meds, so we would travel there, get weights and then have the meds shipped to him. He gave the medications and he also made time in his very busy schedule to allow us some time to get the weight and all that. We've had 3 French Spaniels go through hunt training and we have been very pleased with their behavior. Chris knew that this particular breed is a bit soft and he did everything he could do to make them learn at their own speed without forcing too much pressure on them.
