After my normal vet wasn’t able to get my dog in for an emergency visit Dr. Dutton was able to see her within an hour. The kindness and compassion I felt during a very scary visit will never be forgotten. My girl was taken care of as best as she could be and they were all wonderful with her end of life care.

A truly awful experience. What I communicated to the vet for the surgery was not what was done, and then they claimed that the vet 'misheard me'. That sounded very disingenuous to me. Even the vet's assistant apologized to me separately - it was so obvious. My cat is now left in pain with difficulty chewing because the surgery did not take care of the whole issue, so I'm now having to arrange for a second surgery elsewhere. If they were not able or willing to do what an owner understands is being done, they need to say so. Also my cat was left lethargic and staggering for days, and they didn't warn me before taking her home that this would be so. But when I finally got ahold of them they say this is normal as anesthetic wears off? Maybe they should warn owners so they can take more steps t

We've been spinning our wheels since our main vet we were going to for over 10 years died last year. So far, it's been a positive experience to come to Brainerd Animal Hospital. I like both Dr. Dutton and Dr. Melzer. I feel that they can provide the care that my cats need. Christy is very helpful as well. The staff are great as well, including George.

My friendly cat became super skittish after being neutered here (with a lot of love and work he is finally starting to come around again). They didn’t accept care credit at the time of payment. The gals who work the front desk are cold and unhelpful.
