Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society

Came in today and met this beautiful domestic longhair cat. They had said she had an attitude which I didn’t quite understand but when I got home I finally understood. She does this thing when it sounds like she’s growling or hissing but it’s funny because she doesn’t have an attitude at all and will rub up against you 😂 I love Brookie wholeheartedly! Thank you guys!

We adopted a dog and it didn't work out as much as we would have wanted it to. We had to return the dog, but they were able to match us with a better fit to try a slumber party and after just 2 short days we already knew we wanted to keep her. We got her in very quick to get her ears checked and we adopted her at the same time. She is a perfect fit. The staff was marvelous and did everything they could to make ideal matches. The staff is caring and attentive. They take every concern serious and are very informed about all the animals and they have a lot of animals to keep track of.

The wait can be insane BUT the ladies in there are just outstanding! They are caring and compassionate. I am there often getting services like nail trim and vaccinations because it's so much cheaper than at my regular vet. If you don't mind waiting a bit, this place is the best!

Really nice place, seems to be well run, very clean, professional personal staff and informative too. Our first dog 30 years and we're thrilled....

I have mixed feelings about this humane society. I have adopted a cat and a dog here and they are my pride and joy however i’m writing this review as a WARNING for all people who are looking to adopt a cat. My first pet that I adopted from here was our cat who we really loved but we were 2 girls who were looking to adopt a cat as it would’ve been our first animal and cats are fairly easy. Biko was full of life and looked healthy as could be but had feline leukemia on his name tag. We were unaware how severe this situation was. Rest assured the gentlemen ( who still works there ) told us that they do not test for this disease anymore because it’s “so common” and that it’s “harmless” that he’ll live a long healthy life just as another cat without leukemia would.
