Dr. Obermeier has been the primary vet for our two yearling colts since they were 1 month old. We truly appreciate her responsiveness and caring nature. She’s done several “cookies & scratches” visits for my needle-shy gelding to help him get over his nervousness at being approached by “the vet” — she also gelded him for me, and his wound healed up beautifully due to her excellent care and aftercare guidance. We are fortunate and grateful to have Dr. Obermeier in Boulder!

I own 7 horses and Charlotte has been my vet for 12 years. I can’t say enough positive things about her professionalism and compassion. Charlotte is always willing to calmly talk me through all the options when something is going on with one of my horses so I can make informed decisions. When one of our older horses was sick, Charlotte tried what she could to help him feel better and talked my daughter and me through what was happening in his body. Her bedside manner gave us so much peace as we ended up having to say goodbye to my daughter’s best friend that day. Charlotte made all the arrangements for what to do after he died and sent both my daughter and I cards within days. Dr. Obermeier is my favorite vet in the Boulder area. She helped me with the routine needs of my 6 horses. She is communicative, responsive, and very helpful. A major commonly used vet in Boulder would routinely over-sedate several of my horses for routine procedures leading to scary reactions in my horses, but Dr. Obermeier knew that drafts need less sedation. I appreciate her approach overall. She is a great vet. We no longer live in Boulder, but I miss having Dr. Obermeier on hand to help with all of my horses' needs. I think it's hard to find a great vet who is ethical. I've had not great experiences with other vets in the past large and small, but have only great things to say about Charlotte. She cares about the animals and offers great care and support for the people she helps. She

Dr. Charlotte Obermeier is everything the previous reviewer mentioned: kind, professional, efficient, knowledgeable. She is a great vet and a great person. Easy to communicate with, which is no small feat because I don't think she ever stops working... She has been so helpful and caring toward our 4 horses ever since we moved to Boulder 5 years ago. If I could give this vet a negative 100 I would. Charlotte went to our property for a check up on our 36 year old horse and told us we should put her down. She said it would be "humane to just shoot her in her head." She said no one would need to know so as to hide it from my mom, the owner of this beautiful animal. The horse is thin, and we're trying to get weight on her, but she is still very much alive, happy, and coherent. It's a miracle she's this old but it's because she is loved and taken care of. My brother was digusted with the shooting in the head comment and said, "Well, I guess we'll feed her to the dogs." The vet agreed and said there's also people who will help dispose of the body. "What?!" my brother said, "No!!! When she passes away, we're having a family vigil." If you're
