We had to take our dog in for a bite he got from another dog, and they were absolutely incredible. They really took their time with him and made him so comfortable and took such great care of him. It’s so nice to know we have a good emergency hospital close by with such caring staff. Also, the sweetest vet tech made a portrait of our dog on his bandage and I really love how thoughtful this was and really added a bright spot to a bad day. Thank you for taking such good care of our boy.
Sunday night I discovered an empty grape bag that was pulled by the trash by my corgis.. I was able to go to a local urgent care where they induced vomiting in both corgis, but found that only one was the grape eating culprit. We were transferred to Blue Pearl, who thankfully accepted Mila for treatment. She had to stay for 48 hours for IV fluids and kidney function monitoring. The staff were amazing. I was called for updates, notified of the price estimate and the plan of care upon admission. She was able to be discharged happy and healthy. She came out clean and with freshly trimmed nails. I hope I never have to bring my dogs back, but if I ever had another emergency I would not hesitate to bring them back to Blue Pearl. Thank you!!
My sweet baby Nala (golden retriever) just turned 13 on Sunday. By Tuesday she fell very ill. She was not eating, drinking and vomited multiple times. As I was getting the car ready to bring her in, she collapsed. I raced to get her help after being turned away by two other places. I called Blue Pearl, they told me to bring her right over. I let them know that she was in rough shape and that she could not walk. Two vet techs met me with a gurney out front. They immediately began assessing her and getting her fluids. Shortly after, Dr. Muckenhirn let me know that she had done an ultrasound and found a huge mass on Nala’s spleen. Shortly after, the bloodwork revealed that Nala was in really bad shape, multiple organs involved. The Dr. never took surgery off the table but made it clear that i
After being told by numerous vets that our cat had a blockage and we should take him to an emergency clinic, we ended up at Blue Pearl. We got there a little before 4:00 p.m. we got charged $1488 which we paid before The whole visit was over. Never left there until 11:32 p.m. I know they get busy but I feel this was way unacceptable. So at 11:30 I was told they didn't know when they would be able to schedule x-rays so we decided to take our cat home. I'm waiting for a refund because I paid for x-rays and the cat never got them. I'm sure they do a lot of good but this was a very bad experience for me and I will never be going back there
Brought our 5 yo dog in a couple days after Christmas for emergent abdominal surgery for a small bowel obstruction at the recommendation of our vet who had called prior to our arrival. When we got there we were told to scan something & fill out our info & we did. For the next 1.5+ hrs no one said a word to us. Dog wasn’t triaged. We had no idea of the process or the wait time & we knew this was life threatening. Eventually we asked for some type of estimated timeline & were met with attitude & annoyance & never received an answer. It wasn’t even the wait that was bothersome. It was the lack of info given to us & the attitude upon asking a simple question when we shouldn’t have had to. No one had checked in w/us even once. So at that point we left & went to another emergency vet known for b
