Birch Street Animal Clinic

Birch Street is amazing! They have become part of our family. We trust them with our dogs and cats. They have worked with us in the past to help feral cat colonies and kittens when we did a little rescuing. We cannot say enough good things about them. We love Birch Street Animal Clinic!

We have been taking our pets to Birch Street Animal Clinic since 2006. We love Dr. Jarret and Dr Dax and the entire staff. We moved to Salem and continue to make the drive to Canby for our pets. It is well worth the trip. Their compassion for our animals is priceless. They have helped us through good and bad times. We can’t thank them enough for their kindness.

Heads up to other people looking for a new vet: Birch Street is only taking new clients who are friends with current clients. Your friend will need to make the time to call in to Birch Street to vouch that you are a "good pet parent." It's not enough to be able to share the name of the person who referred you - your friend will have to call in before you can make an appointment. The part about requiring someone to vouch for me as a "good pet parent" felt pretty insulting. Seeking good veterinary care is evidence enough that I am willing to invest (substantial!) money and care in my pet. And what would happen if the vet somehow didn't like me or my choices? Would that end up negatively impacting the friend who referred me? The whole process is really off-putting. I ended up just establish

They are accepting new patients, they are so friendly, amazingly helpful, knowledgeable, and they book appointments about 1-week out and will let you know if they have cancellations to move your appointment up. Birch Street Animal Clinic is by far the best veterinarian I have ever had. Both doctors and the entire staff are deeply invested in every animal they care for. They have always been just a call away if I have any questions or concerns. The entire team there is just awesome!
