Big Sky CARES Community Veterinary Clinic and Hospital

Love how they say they’re open and we drove over half an hour with my 6 year old to surprise him bc all he’s ever wanted was a kitty of his own. We’ve been hyping him up for his surprise for A WEEK waiting for today. Well, we pulled up and no one, NO ONE was there. Doors locked. So I called and left a message at 11:37AM and they haven’t returned my call and it’s now almost 4PM. My son is devastated and I’m extremely angry with this “rescue”. If you depend on ADOPTIONS don’t you think you’d be open when you said you are? And let y’all call me back and tell me some lies like you’ve told these other people about how they must’ve had the wrong place. NOPE. Right place unfortunately. Do not do business with these people. I have nothing but positive accolades about Big Sky ( well named because everyone there has a big heart) and the staff… They have helped me tremendously with an over abundance of kittens that have been dropped off at my house. When two different vets told me to put a cat down, they took ultra good care of him, did eye surgery, and got him on the road to health. Fang Gogh says thank you .

This clinic and cafe are amazing. The people go above and beyond and really care for your pets. We had an emergency with our cat and they did everything they could to help us save him. I am so grateful for them. They help so many animals that others would just write off. They're truly angels.

Dr. Wilbert, Sharon, and the whole Big Sky team are angels on earth. They work ceaselessly to care for the animals in an under-served area of Louisiana. They are truly the most selfless and giving people I have had the pleasure to meet. If you're looking for a good cause to donate toward, this is it. They are currently treating my kitten, Bunny, that has Manx syndrome. They have been a tremendous help in advising me on how to care for her, what to feed her, and administering her medications. I simply cannot thank them enough for their commitment and kindness.

I have always been an advocate of Big Sky but I am highly disappointed this time. My fiancé brought his beloved cat in because I insisted Big Sky was great. His cat was suffering with vomiting, diarrhea and extreme weight loss. He consulted one vet which did bloodwork and it came back fine. That’s when I told him to go to Big Sky. They did an x-ray and saw gas in her stomach. They immediately blamed the food we were feeding her and so my fiance changed her food. A food allergy they said. His cat is 9 years old might I add. It has been a month and she has progressively gotten worse. She no longer eats and just continues to lose weight. I call BS on the food allergy considering she never had any skin issues like scratching or loss of hair, which is common with food allergies. We are going to
