I haven’t been here since I was probably 10 (I’m now 41) and this place has grown and improved exponentially. There’s an awesome variety of animals and things to do. The staff is fun and friendly and even the food is good and priced fairly. It’s not really big, but it’s a great way to spend your afternoon. So if you want something different, intriguing, that’s for a great cause stop by and see what they have to offer! They might be called the Big Cat Habitat but they have a lot more to offer than just cool cats!
I did the private wolf and capybara encounters at the Big Cat Habitat and it was an amazing experience. The staff were knowledgeable and engaging and you can tell their animals are comfortable around people! These encounters are very worth it! The facility is also great. It didn't feel overcrowded and the animals were close to the viewing areas and very engaged! The animals all looked healthy and the whole experience was fun! I highly recommend!!
I’ve been wanting to go here for years and finally did. Right off they had guys on golf carts helping with parking saving you steps to the entrance. There are plenty of up close animals to see. Plenty of space for everyone without feeling crowded. I like to short days which tells me much less stress in the animals. They seem very well cared for. For an extra $5.00 you can feed lions using a stick. They put on a nice informative show though I thought a little too much talking rather than time with the animals. Well worth the admission price and a must do if you’re in the area!
It's tough to express in words how much I love this place. It's so wonderful to know that all of these animals are being loved and cared for by the staff, and those from the public who choose to visit. Being able to interact with some of the animals is the best part. It's an honor and a privilege to strengthen the human animal bond with every visit. It's a purrfect destination to escape to after a stressful and busy week.
Such a warm, friendly place for animal lovers! The kids were beyond excited. You can feed a bear and lions, watch turtles, pet a baby alligator, ride a pony, and enjoy a show with local animals and dedicated volunteers. It doesn’t feel like a farm or a zoo—it truly feels like a home where animals are loved and well cared for. Love, love, love this place!
