Best Paw Forward

I recently enrolled my 8 year old golden retriever Winifred in the Introduction to therapy dog class. After losing her big brother a month prior, I wanted to do some training with Winifred for bonding between the two of us. I was so impressed by the trainers, and their knowledge of all different types of dogs. I decided to enroll in the rally in obedience class afterwards to train her more. I was cautious at first, but this class is really taught the two of us in obedience. It’s a really fun class! It has really stimulated my dogs brain. I am so happy with Best Best Forward training classes. The instructors are really great!

Pam and Amy ran an excellent puppy kindergarten class! We had a great experience and highly recommended. We will be back for basic manners.

My baby girl Tally and I just completed Basic Manners 1 with Pam and Amy in Hartland. I've taken a number of classes with other companies with our older dog and I have never felt the success that I have had with Best Paw Forward. From the minute you walk in the trainers are listening to your problems, offering advice, and congratulating your successes! Before we were half way through we signed up for the Rally/Agility Combo class. I look forward to going to class each week and Tally LOVES to learn all kinds of new things. I also really appreciated that Pam and Amy were so conscientious with dogs that were nervous, excited, or reactive by putting up gates but ALWAYS kept those families involved. I saw amazing progress in one dog, who could barely glance at another dog without barking

Best Paw Forward is The Best. Many other dog trainers are great at being positive with dogs but not so great at being positive with people, understandably getting frustrated with people’s rate of learning to communicate with their dogs. Best Paw trainers excel at positive reinforcement of both dogs and their people. Feedback is positive and constructive. Much of the learning takes place by playing games with the dogs. Best Paw has increased my confidence in working with my dogs and enhanced my relationships with them. There are other trainers closer to where I live, but it’s worth the extra time to drive to Best Paw. I am so glad to have found this treasure.

Just finished up Manner's One. Excellent force free, fear free and pain free instruction. Clear visual demonstrations of how the handler is the driving force in the dogs behavior. Each instructor was hands on with one on one time with all the students. Facility is safe, clean and class size is small. Most of all, the training was fun. The morning after the class, a lesson plan with detailed instructions and videos was in our e mail in box for guidance during the week as we practiced.
