Best Friends Cottages

My 17-year-old son and I stayed in Cabin #9 and had a wonderful experience. The cabin was just the right size for the two of us—cozy, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. While it’s a snug space, it was perfect for hosting a memorable sleepover with one of the sanctuary dogs, which was a highlight of our trip. The cabin came thoughtfully stocked with pet-friendly amenities like dog bowls and a bed.||Being near the entrance of the sanctuary was convenient, especially since we had some off-site excursions planned. The road leading to the cabins is unpaved and a bit sandy, but we were prepared with an all-wheel drive vehicle. Overall, it was incredibly peaceful, and we truly loved every minute of our stay.

The BEST PLACE EVER - if you want a quiet, peaceful place to stay this is it. I go to Best Friends every year and always stay in the cottages. It's quiet, great views, dark skies and a great place to relax. Also, this is a perfect place if you are traveling with a pet. I book a year in advance to make sure I get the dates I want. You won't be disappointed.

Stayed in cottage #4 last week and it was perfect! Roomy, comfortable, clean. Full size fridge with microwave and 2 burner stove top and all of the kitchen gadgets you need to cook up some simple meals. Back porch with comfortable seating and awesome views of horses and the canyon. Hosted Skyler (dog) for a sleepover and ended up adopting her! Very pet friendly accommodations. We did some volunteering too so very convenient. Highly recommend and we will be back!

This is quite an operation, they have a lot of property. I downgraded them a star because their communication is not the best. We stayed there because you can borrow a cat for a sleepover in your cottage. When we filled out the form online it said you don't have to do a volunteer shift if you stay in the cottages or cabins but then it gives you a volunteer page to fill out. That was all the information we got about the sleepover, but it's actually a very regimented system. You have to be there between 3 and 3:30, and not at the main visitor center but about 4 miles down the road at the Cat Headquarters. If we had been given that information, we would have made different choices on our travel day. As it was, we got there close to 4:30 and couldn't get a cat for a sleepover. My daugh
